Sampdoria and Juventus officials are expected to meet shortly to discuss the future of forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

The young left-sided attacker impressed last term at Marassi during a first year of co-ownership with Samp and had been linked at the start of this summer as a candidate to return to Turin for preseason with Juve.

However, on from the Bianconeri apparently switching track to Domenico Berardi, Sampdoria are seen as pressing to keep hold of Gabbiadini for next season.

It is understood that the two clubs will meet shortly to continue negotiations regarding the 22-year-old, with Beppe Marotta set to talk with Ariedo Braida and Carlo Osti.

Initial impressions in the Italian media are that an extension of Gabbiadini’s stay with the Blucerchiati is looking increasingly likely.
