Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero insists Samuel Eto’o and Sinisa Mihajlovic “just had a small row. Stay calm.”

The striker left training this morning and reportedly drove to see his family in Milan, despite there being another session planned for the afternoon.

It was widely reported Eto’o had a blazing row with Coach Mihajlovic over the two ‘punishment’ training sessions for today after a 5-1 defeat to Torino.

It was widely reported Eto’o had a blazing row with Coach Mihajlovic over the two ‘punishment’ training sessions for today after a 5-1 defeat to Torino.

“There was just a small row between Eto’o and Mihajlovic, a small exchange of opinions,” President Ferrero told Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.it.

“Stay calm, the club is perfectly solid. There will be a statement out soon.”

There had been fears ex-Everton forward Eto’o would tear up his contract just six days after signing for Samp.
