Sampdoria are reportedly continuing their attempts to re-sign West Ham United’s Pedro Obiang and will make another offer in the coming hours.

The Hammers, who signed the Spanish midfielder from the Blucerchiati in 2015, are said to be holding out for a fee of €12m.

And although there is still some difference between the two clubs’ valuation of the 26-year-old, Il Secolo XIX states negotiations are continuing – with a deal likely to be struck soon.

According to the Italian daily, Samp will return with a fresh offer for their former player this afternoon.

This is unlikely to be the full €12m the London club are asking for. Instead, the Marassi side will offer a series of performance related bonuses, as well as a percentage of any future sale of the player they make.

Obiang made 27 appearances in all competitions for West Ham last season, scoring twice.
