Sampdoria chief Edoardo Garrone is confident he has made no mistake in replacing boss Delio Rossi with Sinisa Mihajlovic.
“It is an honour to have Sinisa as our Coach,” the President stated. “I was a big fan of him when he was a player at Sampdoria.
“And today I am convinced that he is the right person for us to achieve the targets we have set for ourselves.
“His character, determination and leadership qualities are what we need right now.
“I’ll be at the Bogliasco training facility on Saturday to shake his hand and then at the Ferraris on Sunday to cheer him on.”
Mihajlovic has been netted after he brought an end to his stint in charge of the Serbian national side this week.
“I would like to thank the Serbian Football Federation who allowed us to take him on,” Garrone added.
Mihajlovic has bossed Catania, Bologna and Fiorentina in Serie A so far during his coaching career to date.
