Sampdoria and Real Betis are leading the race to sign Fiorentina’s Giuseppe Rossi in January, say reports.

The 28-year-old missed all of last season through injury and has struggled to become a regular under new Coach Paulo Sousa this term.

La Nazione reports today that a return to Spain could be on the cards for the former Villarreal man, as Betis have expressed interest.

The newspaper believes that the two clubs have already held talks about the possibility and that Rossi could be open to a return to a league he knows well.
