After their coup for World Cup winner Cristian Zaccardo, Sammarinese side Tre Fiori now want to add Dani Alves to their books.
Tre Fiori signed Zaccardo for the second half of last season, and the minnows are now ready to plug their defence with another internationally-known stopper.
They are nicknamed the ‘Ultras’ and are seven-time champions of San Marino but have not won a League title since 2011 and finished third in 2018-19.

Alves, for his part, is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and turned 36 in May but recently won Copa America with Brazil.
“Hey Dani! We saw your CV, not bad! We are Tre Fiori, the most successful team in the Republic of San Marino. Will you join us to win more trophies?” read the Instagram proposal.
“We would be happy to welcome you here in San Marino! Good football and delicious ‘piadina’ [a Sammarinese sandwich] await you!
“Dani Alves is looking for a team and this is our proposal! What do you say to that? Will our achievements or ‘piadina’ convince him?”
Probably not – but good try nevertheless!
