Lazar Samardzic will have his Inter medical tomorrow morning, with Giovanni Fabbian going the other way to Udinese. ‘I am very happy and ready to start.’

The deal had been effectively done on July 29 and needed time to work out the details, specifically in terms of bonuses and personal terms.

Samardzic arrived in Milan this evening and was greeted by supporters as well as Sky Sport Italia cameras.

“I am very happy and ready to start,” said the 21-year-old Serbia international.

It is believed the deal will see Samardzic go to Inter for €15m plus Fabbian, while the Nerazzurri retain a buy-back clause on the Italian that is set at €12m in 2024 and rises to €15m in 2025.

There were reports today that Fabbian had already passed his medical tests with Udinese, so that is not in doubt either.

Samardzic impressed at the Dacia Arena last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 37 Serie A games.

He already has two senior caps for Serbia.
