Lazar Samardzic has reiterated his desire to join Milan this month as talks continue with his representatives and Udinese.

The 22-year-old Serbian midfielder has been of the cusp of leaving the Friulian club on multiple occasions over the last 12 months, with suitors including Inter, Juventus and Napoli. With two years left on his deal, now could be the right time for a move to be made.

Milan are serious about strengthening Paulo Fonseca’s midfield this summer and have added Samardzic to their shortlist alongside Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana. The club are also working on closing out a deal for Tottenham full back Emerson Royal.
