Samardzic available for Udinese against Juventus after collapsed Inter transfer

Udinese coach Andrea Sottil says Lazar Samardzic is available against Juventus after his collapsed Inter transfer: ‘These things happen.’

The Serbian midfielder had undergone his medical with Inter last week, but he eventually remained at Udinese as his entourage raised their salary request for the Nerazzurri.

“He is a Udinese player who faced this situation, which can happen in football,” Sottil told Udinese’s official website.

“What matters to me is that he’s available, he trained regularly with the team.”

Udinese make their 2023-24 Serie A debut against Juventus tomorrow.

“Juventus have always been a highly competitive team with an important coach. They have added players like Timothy Weah and Andrea Cambiaso, but we must focus on ourselves, we are ready for this game.

“The line-up for tomorrow’s game is ready. Beto has improved a lot, Thauvin had lost intensity in Mexico, but is fit now.”
