Red Bull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch has warned Napoli that his side will not be playing for a draw tomorrow. “We want to be protagonists.”
Salzburg are top of the Austrian top flight, yet to lose after 11 rounds of fixtures, thrashed Racing Genk in their opening Champions League game and almost earned a point against Liverpool, having come back from 3-0 down.
“We have a young team, the advantage is not being afraid when going out on the pitch: we want to be protagonists,” Marsch said at a Press conference.

“The game last March certainly gives us all experience. We’ve changed in terms of squad and Coach, but we’re no less ready to face Napoli and enjoy a great game.
“As for whether we’d take a draw now, we’d like to take an advantage in tomorrow’s match so we’ll think about returning to San Paolo with more serenity.
“There was a bit of tension in Liverpool, but we learned our lesson. The formation that Napoli will use isn’t the most important thing. We need to understand how they’ll read the game.
“They’ve shuffled through so many players so far, they have so much quality on the pitch.
“It’s not a challenge between Ancelotti and I, it’s a challenge between Salzburg and Napoli. That’s the important thing.
“I’ve been following Ancelotti for a long time, I’ve kept track of his entire career, but now I just have to think about the pitch.
“They have great players, especially up top, they’re very flexible and it’ll be important to defend well against all of their players.”
