Nick Salihamidzic, son of former Juventus winger Hasan, is reportedly close to joining Serie B strugglers Cosenza.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the 19-year-old is on the verge of moving to Italy on a dry loan deal until the end of the season.

He is expected to undergo his medical with Cosenza on Friday ‘if all goes to plan,’ specifies Romano.

Nick Salihamidzic is the son of former Juventus winger Hasan, the current sporting director of the Bavarians. He can play as a right-back in a four-man defence or as a right wing-back in a five-man midfield.

A product of SpVgg Unterhaching and Bayern Munich academy, Salihamidzic Jr. joined Vancouver Whitecaps on loan in the first part of the season, playing for their B team.

His father, Hasan, played at Juventus for four years, scoring eight goals in 74 appearances. He was one of the fans’ idols, although the Bianconeri went through tough times when he was in Turin.

Cosenza currently sit last in the Serie B table with 18 points in 21 games.
