It’s a southern Italian derby on Saturday and these Salernitana vs. Napolipredictions look forward to the big game in Serie A. The Granata are now one of only two teams without a win this season and come up against an improving Partenopei side.
1 – Napoli to win – 6/13
2 – Napoli to keep a clean sheet – 11/8
3 – Both teams not to score – 6/5
4 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 6/10
5 – Raspadori to score anytime – 2/1
Napoli look to continue their improved run of form as they take on bottom-of-the-table Salernitana this weekend. Rudi Garcia’s side are now unbeaten in three games in all competitions and will feel positive after rescuing a point against Milan last Sunday.
Things are not looking good for Filippo Inzaghi’s Salernitana though, with the club picking up just one point since their new boss took over a month ago. The Granata not only sit bottom of the league table but, following Cagliari’s dramatic comeback last weekend, have the unwelcome status of being one of only two Serie A sides without a win in the opening ten fixtures.
Unfortunately for the hosts this weekend, that winless run is likely to extend against their Scudetto-protecting visitors.
Salernitana’s primary issue under Inzaghi has been their inability to offer a credible attacking threat. Across the past five games, the Granata have scored just once, against relegation-threatened Cagliari. Napoli are far from at their defensive best but against this labouring home front line, they will be confident of securing their first clean sheet since September.
Fortunately for Rudi Garcia, despite defensive struggles that have seen Napoli concede over a goal per game this season, they remain a threatening offensive unit. The reigning champions have averaged over 2.5 goals per game across their last five, with bookmakers offering decent odds on another high-scoring game on Saturday.
Napoli’s continued goal-scoring success in the absence of Victor Osimhen came as a surprise to many. However, with their prolific forward out, other players have stepped up. Giacomo Raspadori has featured more centrally in recent weeks and repaid the faith by scoring in his last two games. He’s our tip to score anytime at the Stadio Arechi on Saturday.

Salernitana (3-4-2-1): Ochoa; Lovato, Gyomber, Pirola; Maggiore, Coulibaly, Bradaric, Mazzocchi; Candreva, Dia; Cabral
Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Ostigard, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Raspadori, Kvaraskhelia
Significant changes are not anticipated from Filippo Inzaghi, with Federico Fazio the only absentee. Emil Bohinen and Junior Samba may hope to feature having come on at half-time last weekend but the coach’s primary concern will be with his team’s lacking forward play.
Natan will be suspended for Saturday’s game, having been sent off against Milan, causing further headaches for Rudi Garcia with Juan Jesus injured and Amir Rrahmani in poor form. The coach was able to welcome back Andre-Franck Anguissa last weekend though and he should start against Salernitana. Victor Osimhen remains sidelined through injury.
