Salernitana have unveiled a new €95m project to completely revamp the Stadio Arechi, which aims to be complete by December 2025.

The plan will be performed and paid for by the local authorities presented today by Governor of the Campania region Vincenzo De Luca.

It will include a system of solar panels to make it energy-efficient and sustainable, with hospitality areas and 18 different Sky box sections.

Above all, there will be just one set of stands rather than two tiers, therefore improving visibility all around the arena.

The capacity will remain the current 35,000 seats, but they will be covered in case of rain.

During the presentation, it was assured the current Stadio Arechi will not be demolished, so the restyling work will build on the existing structure.

Towards the Curva Sud, there will be a Salernitana Museum constructed.

It is possible that during work on the Stadio Arechi, Salernitana will have to play some of their home games on neutral turf.
