Salernitana are in overdrive in the transfer window, as Diego Costa could sign tonight, with Radu Dragusin close from Juventus and even an approach for Javier Pastore. ‘A miracle could happen,’ said Walter Sabatini.
They are bottom of the Serie A table, but under new ownership this month and above all have director of sport Sabatini working his contacts.
Sportitalia and Il Mattino both report that Costa has accepted the terms of the agreement and will sign the contract with Salernitana tonight.
“Diego Costa is a matter still in movement, a miracle could happen, but so far it has not happened,” Sabatini told TuttoSalernitana.com.
Meanwhile, they are very active on other deals too, with Sportitalia reporting defender Dragusin will interrupt his loan spell with Sampdoria and move to Salernitana instead.
The centre-back is owned by Juventus and at the age of 19 already part of the senior Romania set-up.
Now Tuttomercatoweb are suggesting Sabatini has also approached Pastore, who he already worked with at Palermo.
The 32-year-old is currently in Spain with Elche, having left Roma as a free agent over the summer.
The former Paris Saint-Germain creative midfielder has made 11 competitive appearances for Elche this season.
