According to Sky Sport Italia, Salernitana are in talks with former Fiorentina defender Martin Caceres, who is available as a free agent.
The 34-year-old left the Artemio Franchi at the end of his contract on June 30.
He is now available as a free agent and the newly-promoted Serie A side are in talks to secure his services, according to the report.
Caceres has played 166 games in Serie A with Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina.
He played 31 games across all competitions with the Tuscans last term.
Salernitana are also interested in Sampdoria‘s Julian Chabot and have opened talks with the Blucerchiati.
