Salernitana are currently in talks with the agent of Everton defender Michael Keane as they look to push through a move, reports detail.
The 30-year-old English centre back has hardly featured for the Toffees this season, only playing 202 minutes of action across one Premier League match and two Carabao Cup outings. A Manchester United youth product, Keane has slipped down the hierarchies at Everton and the Premier League strugglers are willing to let him go.
As reported by TuttoSalernitana, Keane was recently proposed to Salernitana and the club are now in talks with his agent, keen to pick up the Englishman, who looks set to leave Everton on loan this month.
The 30-year-old is keen on the idea of playing for an Italian club but is unconvinced by Salernitana, who are circling dangerously close to a brewing relegation battle.
The Campania outfit will hold a new round of talks with Keane’s agent on Monday, keen to try and convince him of the move.
