According to ANSA, there haven’t been offers to buy Salernitana, so the Granata could be excluded from Serie A.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito is the man behind the trustee that formally owns the club.

However, it is prohibited for one person to own two different clubs in Serie A. It is also forbidden to sell the club to relatives up to the fourth degree.

Lotito had to sell Salernitana in the summer but managed to move the deadline to the end of the year by involving the trustee.

He must find suitors by December 31, but according to ANSA he hasn’t yet received any formal offer, so Salernitana could be excluded from Serie A while the season is ongoing. It remains to be seen if it will really happen and when.

Salernitana were promoted to Serie A last season for the first time in 22 years.

Stefano Colantuono’s side sit rock bottom of the Serie A table with eight points in 17 games.
