Maurizio Milan confirmed that both Inter and Atalanta are working to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson.

The 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder was one of the stars in the Campania squad this season, being instrumental in their great escape from the relegation zone. He was signed from Corinthians for around €6.5m back in January and now he’s valued at around €15-20m.

Speaking to Il Mattino, Milan discussed the talks with Inter and confirmed that an offer has arrived from Atalanta.

“There is interest from Inter and there is a tangible offer from Atalanta. We are in dialogue with the Nerazzurri. The will of the player will be decisive.

“The valuation still exceeds €20m, but there could also be a foreign club arriving next week.”

The Salernitana CEO then discussed the plan with former Bologna sporting director Riccardo Bigon, who is expected to take over from Walter Sabatini.

“Bigon is a person diametrically opposed to Sabatini and, by the way, they shared an experience together at Bologna.

“I can confirm that between today and tomorrow the reservations will be dissolved. Bigon will present his plan and his philosophy and we will understand what to do. We want a director who works in osmosis with us, there is no division but teamwork.”

The 22-year-old Ederson, who is contracted to Salernitana until 2026, made 15 Serie A appearances this season, for a total of 1151 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals, provided one assist and impressed as a defensive midfielder.

Inter are looking for a backup to Marcelo Brozovic and the Brazilian midfielder could be a good fit for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
