Franck Kessié is on the verge of joining Barcelona as a free agent and the details of the Ivorian midfielder’s contract at the Nou Camp have been revealed.

Kessié won’t extend his expiring contract with Milan joining the Catalans on a free transfer in July. He is the third Milan player leaving San Siro at the end of his contract in the last year after Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Kessié set for Barcelona move after decisive call from Xavi

Multiple reports in Italy and Spain claim that Kessié has already decided to wear the Blaugrana shirt in 2022-23. According to the report, the midfielder has accepted an offer similar to the one made by Milan a few months ago.

Kessié will earn €6.5m-a-year in Spain for the next four seasons. Milan had offered a similar fee to extend his stay at the club. What has shifted the balance in favour of Barcelona is probably the proposal for the player’s agent.

As per Il Corriere della Sera, Kessié’s representative  George Atangana will earn up to €10m from his client’s move to Spain. Kessié has snubbed offers from the Premier League and, according to reports, he was persuaded to join the Catalans by their coach Xaxi who has recently spoken to him

  1. Sad to see such greedy players and agents… There needs to be a stop to these agent commissions, it’s insane. I hope he rots on the bench in Barcelona.

    Forza Milan!

  2. Well, Milan offered him 4.5mil only that’s the truth this whole brouhaha. I don’t wish him any evil, but let him run so fast to barca.

  3. Wait, only 6.5 million and 10 million agent fees ? That is so cheap since we paid more than that for mediocre Rabiot

  4. Milan is getting rid of all the mercenaries and staying with a squad that actually cares and fights for the shirt! No wonder they are 1st in Serie A

  5. As if Milan is so dump to give Agents fees in the region of 10 mio 😀
Like last year with Gigio, where Raiola even demanded 20mio!!!! for one simple signature…its ridicoulos. Agents shoulnd be in the football business, it only damages the financial health of clubs..

Raiola once wantet 40mio for himself and haalands father 😀 😀 😀 😀

    Which planet do they live?

  6. Dont kid yourself, all players who make a little name for themselves eventually turn into mercenaries. There is no such thing as loyalty to the shirt just money.

  7. I knew from the first day that nobody would offer him that much money. Demanding 8m for him in Europe was always ridiculous.

Agents demanding 10, 20m to extend with current clubs who have signed and nurtured them when they were nobodies. What is Uefa doing??!

Kessié can go where his daddy Atangana directs him, just like Dollarumma followed his daddy Raiola, but I’m telling you the same thing will happen to him. He will sit on the bench more than he plays.

  8. Kessie is not a top player. Barca are so buying another player for free. It reminds me of Milan in the last fews under the previous ownership.

  9. The thing is when Maldini is negotiating with these guys he can actually say: “I’m one of the greatest players of all time, I had offers from Real Madrid and Chelsea, I turned them down because I was loyal to my club”.

This is the thing, how can a man like Maldini tolerate this nonsense when he himself walked the walk.

Overall the squad will benefit because we’ll have players who are focused on the club.

This all started with Suso, and the club has not looked back since.
