Mediaset believes the English side are asking for a fee of €23m for the Egyptian international, while Roma are seeking a loan with the option to buy.

It’s thought Chelsea may accept an initial loan, but would insist on a mandatory redemption clause next summer, to ensure they receive a fee for the player.
