Salah-Roma, Loftus-Cheek for Viola?

Fiorentina won’t sue Chelsea, but in return want Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan and veto Mohamed Salah to Inter, which lets in Roma.

The transfer saga reaches a head today, as Salah officially refuses to attend pre-season training in Florence.

As the Viola have already paid the €1m to extend his loan by 12 months, and their lawyers insist Salah missed his deadline for the power of veto over the move, this sparks legal action.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina have presented an intriguing set of conditions to Chelsea in order to avoid FIFA arbitration and a potential six-month ban for the Egypt international.

The first criterion is to receive a different player on loan for €1m, as promised in the terms of the Juan Guillermo Cuadrado sale in January.

It’s reported the man they want in place of Salah is 19-year-old England midfielder Loftus-Cheek.

The Viola ask for a ‘value’ payment for improving Salah’s price-tag while he spent six months playing regularly in Florence.

They also require that Salah be barred from joining Inter this summer, a club they openly accused of trying to illegally poach while under contract.

However, Fiorentina would allow a transfer to a different Serie A rival, namely Roma, who behaved ‘better’ in the entire saga.
