‘Salah not for sale’

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says Mohamed Salah will not be joining Roma, barring a ‘phenomenal offer’.

The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to Serie A, but Mourinho used his Press conference ahead of an FA Cup match with Bradford to deny he or Andre Schurrle would leave the club.

“The club's desire is to keep the same squad,” the former Inter Coach insisted.

The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to Serie A, but Mourinho used his Press conference ahead of an FA Cup match with Bradford to deny he or Andre Schurrle would leave the club.

“The club's desire is to keep the same squad,” the former Inter Coach insisted.

“We are happy with the players. Salah is selected for tomorrow, Schurrle is the same, selected for tomorrow.

“I cannot select the same 18 players every game but Schurrle and Salah have played for us in every competition.

“The principle is that we would like [them] to stay, the question is not to be allowed or not allowed.

“The question is to have a phenomenal offer and a player to be super keen to accept a new challenge in his career.

“The reality is normally nothing should happen and we go to February with the same squad.

“If possible, we don't want to be involved in the transfer window. If we are, it's because someone pushed us into it with an offer for our players."
