The director general of the Nerazzurri spoke to Inter Channel ahead of the trip over the Alps to face the French side, and stated his belief that the game would be a turning point for the Beneamata.
“Bad luck has been the main driving force behind our season so far,” Fassone told the channel.
“But we want to see the glass half-full, and we go into the fourth group game at the top of the table and without having conceded a goal.
“This will probably be a decisive day. In our group this is an important junction where we face a team in top form, who fight for the shirt and in a stadium which will be filled with passionate people in a city that lives for football.
“If we do well we can look to the future more calmly.”
Fassone also gave an update on the condition of San Siro, the stadium the club shares with city rivals Milan and which will host the 2016 Champions League Final.
“From now until the end of the 2015/16 Champions League, our stadium will undergo several improvements to increase safety and comfort in every respect so that in 2016 Inter fans can call a significantly improved San Siro their home.”
