Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has become a star at Napoli, but Georgia national team coach Willy Sagnol warns ‘giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested in him.’

The attacking winger made an extraordinary debut season in Italy, finding the net 14 times with 17 assists in 43 games between Serie A and the Champions League.

So far this term, he has managed three goals and five assists in 15 competitive matches.

“Kvaratskhelia plays in a top club like Napoli, but giants of the football world are interested in him now too, like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich,” said Georgia manager Sagnol in a press conference.

“Playing for these clubs is the dream for anyone. All players hope to one day wear a jersey like that and win important titles.”

Kvaratskhelia’s contract with Napoli runs to June 2027, but he is said to be negotiating an extension that would give him a significant wage boost.

He was signed from Dinamo Batumi last summer for just €13.3m plus bonuses and is already believed to be worth at least €90m on the transfer market.
