“Florentino Perez has wanted to sign Ancelotti for a long time,” he told Meridiano. “When I was at Madrid, he was on everyone’s mind.
“Madrid is a historic club – the most famous in the world. I just hope he does well because he is one of the best Coaches in the world.
“Carlo has a great character, is a good person and a good Coach.”
Former Italy tactician Sacchi also commented on the reported €100m offer for Tottenham and Wales talent Bale.
“I think the Bale signing would be a commercial operation. Madrid have always wanted to sign a British player because of sponsorship.”
