Arrigo Sacchi believes Napoli can reach the Champions League semi-finals: ‘They play modern football…’
The Partenopei have already qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 with two games to spare, having won all their four games in the group stage.
“It’s a wonderful team, they play modern football, attacking and defending with 11 players,” Sacchi told Gazzetta.
“Sometimes you feel they could play with their eyes closed. They find each other so easily and this is the result of Spalletti’s work.
“Their desire to dominate the opponent, you don’t score four goals against Liverpool by coincidence or ten in two games against Ajax. They must have important values, both technical and moral.”
The Partenopei are also the Serie A leaders and the only unbeaten team in Italy’s top flight along with Atalanta.
“If they all remain humble and don’t stop running, they can go all the way. Perhaps, even reach the Champions League semis if they are lucky in the draw,” said the ex-Milan coach.
