Arrigo Sacchi reiterated that Milan are ‘not a team’, claiming that Champions League qualification became ‘almost impossible’ after their latest 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Lazio.
“Another slip-up for the Rossoneri, and now the race for a Champions League spot becomes almost impossible,” the former manager wrote in his La Gazzetta dello Sport column.
“An incredible ending, as Lazio won with a penalty in stoppage time, but the reality remains the same: this Milan side are not a team, no need to beat around the bush.”

Sacchi: Milan’s struggles depend on decisions made in the summer
The Rossoneri fell to a third consecutive Serie A loss in a match that oozed a sense of inevitability, with Pedro scoring a 95th-minute penalty to add to the hosts’ misery, with jeers and boos raining down on Sergio Conceiçao’s players after the final whistle.
However, Sacchi pointed out that Milan lacked a ‘clear tactical plan’ against the Biancocelesti, as they attacked erratically and failed to show the organisation required to deal with their offensive initiatives.
The Rossoneri coaching legend also focused on Rafael Leao’s display, suggesting his contribution was not enough.
“Leao did two great things, and he deserves credit for that, but are two moments enough in a match?,” Sacchi added.
“The way I see football, that’s not much.”

Sacchi recently remarked that the Rossoneri will need to undergo ‘another revolution’ to emerge from their current situation and reiterated that what the Diavolo is currently experiencing depends ‘on the decisions made in the summer during the transfer window.’
“The trouble is that by playing like this, the club loses its appeal, disappoints the fans, and sparks controversies that do not help in building for the future,” Sacchi observed.
“I remain convinced that everything depends on the decisions made in the summer during the transfer window.”
Recent reports claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada confirmed their trust in Conceiçao after the Rossoneri’s defeat against Lazio.
