Sacchi: ‘Mancini not a wizard’

Arrigo Sacchi says he enjoyed the Roma-Inter game on Sunday, and offered a critical assessment of the two teams.

The Giallorossi ran out eventual 4-2 winners at the Olimpico and the former Milan boss liked what he saw.

“It was an enjoyable game,” Sacchi said. “Roma are growing and they played better than Inter.

“Many elements to the Giallorossi did well, even though they still have some trouble in the defensive phase.

“Roma's players include some individualists who struggle to balance the game's two phases.”

On the Nerazzurri, Sacchi showed some appreciation: “I liked the team for the personality and their ideas.

“[Roberto] Mancini is trying to improve the team, but it's going to take time.

“A football Coach is not a wizard, but the ex-City and Galatasaray will work towards rebuilding the team.”
