Arrigo Sacchi jokes about Atalanta strikers Rasmus Højlund and Ademola Lookman who ‘should be fined’ and praises La Dea and Gian Piero Gasperini: ‘He knew he had to change.’
Atalanta are level on points with Roma and Milan in the Serie A table but currently sit third on goal difference.
On Saturday, they beat Lazio 2-0 in Rome, dominating at the Stadio Olimpico.
“Gasperini is a great coach. He had noticed that the team needed something different, he signed young players who were almost unknown and taught his lesson,” Sacchi told Gazzetta.
“The performance at the Olimpico was spectacular.”
Højlund and Lookman have taken Serie A by storm combining 17 goals in Serie A.
“They should be fined,” joked Sacchi. “They played for four against Lazio, but they were only two.
“Gasp has transmitted enthusiasm, a spirit of sacrifice and clear tactical principles. Atalanta have always been competitive at a European level in the last few seasons keeping the books balanced.”
