Sacchi: ‘Higuain was isolated’

Arrigo Sacchi felt Napoli “abandoned Gonzalo Higuain to his own devices” in their 1-0 defeat to Juventus.

Simone Zaza decided the Scudetto showdown with a deflected 88th minute strike, but there were few real scoring opportunities from either side.

“The team that believed in itself the most scored and therefore won,” legendary tactician Sacchi told Mediaset Premium.

“The side with the most experience and the most strength in depth came out on top.

“All the strikers had negative performances because the teams did not give them the right level of support. Higuain was abandoned to his own devices up there, although admittedly he didn’t move enough either.

“Napoli needed something remarkable to get the victory in Turin, whereas Juve only required a normal performance.”
