Inter chief Walter Sabatini announced negotiations are over for Shkodran Mustafi and “we had reasons” to drop Patrik Schick.
The Suning director discussed various transfer close runs as we approach tomorrow night’s deadline, including Arsenal demanding €40m for defender Mustafi.
“We made an attempt for Mustafi, but decided to ‘recycle’ someone else instead,” added Sabatini.

It’s reported Danilo D’Ambrosio will be turned into a centre-back to fill the gaps in the Nerazzurri defence.
Schick signed for Roma yesterday, completing the complex deal for over €30m.
“I’m sorry, but you were wrong when you said that we missed out on Schick for €4m. I discovered Schick when he was in the second division and wanted him then, but economically we couldn’t do it.
“Now Roma will enjoy him. We would’ve liked him at Inter, but had our reasons not to see it through.”
