Former technical advisor Walter Sabatini believes the win over Lazio which clinched Champions League qualification could be “the turning point” for Inter.
The sporting director worked as a co-ordinator between the Nerazzurri and Jiangsu Suning, but left his post in March due to differences with owners Suning Group.
“I saw some great things from [Coach] Luciano Spalletti,” Sabatini told reporters in Perugia last night.

“I saw some great things from [Coach] Luciano Spalletti,” Sabatini told reporters in Perugia last night.
“I saw him dominate the dressing room, and in recent history when Inter encountered difficulties they collapsed: keeping them focused on their objective was something extraordinary.
“He went to Rome, he wanted to win and he did. At a certain point against Lazio, Inter could have been annihilated but they held on.
“It could be the turning point for the future.”
