Bologna are officially up for sale after Porcedda decided to relinquish control last month amid reports of financial mismanagement.
The FIGC levied a one-point penalty against Bologna when it emerged that Porcedda hadn't paid the players' wages.
Sabatini heads one of the bids interested in buying Bologna. He saved the local basketball club Virtus from bankruptcy in 2003.

"Bologna will not go bankrupt," he said. "This morning I reached an agreement with Porcedda and I can guarantee that Bologna will not go bankrupt as long as he doesn't do a deal tomorrow morning with Massimo Zanetti.
"I will intervene in some way and Bologna will not fold. I can't say anything else, but we will do so in a way that Bologna finds the [necessary] resources," he concluded.
