Simone Inzaghi says the crisis at Milan is not his brother Pippo’s fault – ‘things have been going wrong for years’.

The Rossoneri are 11th in Serie A following a disastrous first season for Inzaghi as a senior Coach, but speaking on Rai, his brother has defended the embattled boss.

“Things have been going wrong at Milan for years,” Simone pointed out, as a guest on ‘Il Processo di Lunedi’.

“It’s not Pippo’s fault. This season will be very helpful to my brother for his career.”

The former Lazio man also looked ahead to Week 37’s Rome derby, a match which could be crucial in the race for the Champions League.

“Lazio have a great team, but if they’re without [Miroslav] Klose, [Stefan] De Vrij and [Lucas] Biglia then they can start to have problems.

“Francesco Totti? [Roma Coach Rudi] Garcia will decide who to play, [but] obviously time catches up to everyone in the end, even the Roma captain.”
