Simone Inzaghi believes his brother Filippo can turn things around at Bologna, despite a 2-0 win for his Lazio side today.

The brothers faced each other for the first time as Coaches today, with the Biancocelesti emerging as winners at the Dall’Ara.

“I think they’re just missing incidents going their way,” Simone Inzaghi said in his post-match Press conference.

“I’m convinced that with the attitude of the second half and recent games, Bologna can get out of this.

“When you look at both the European race and the relegation battle there’s not much in it. There are teams who are higher up whose season has hinged on an incident.

“Look at Sampdoria after [Riccardo] Saponara’s goal against us.”

Lazio have now won two matches in a row, have they finally turned the corner?

“We won a very important game. We did really well in the first half, less so in the second. Bologna improved but we stayed focused. Now we look ahead to Torino with great confidence.

“There are still 20 matches to go and 60 points to play for, so I’m not interested in looking at the table. I look at certainties.

“Important players like Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto are back, and I’m satisfied to have kept a clean sheet after conceding against Cagliari in the last minute.

“We can’t party too much though, because we have Torino to think about before the break.”
