Mario Balotelli is currently out of the project at FC Sion and could receive a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia soon.

The 32-year-old Italian striker joined the Swiss side last August and had an eventual year at the club, experiencing brief highs at the start of the season before things started to go wrong, with parties and fights pushing him to the sidelines often.

An oft-frustrating figure, Balotelli’s career has been widely inconsistent following his departure from Liverpool in 2016, having spent brief spells with Nice, Marseille, Brescia, Monza, Adana Demirspor and now Sion.

As reported by TMW, Balotelli has now been entirely sidelined from the project at Sion and is training individually, waiting for offers to arrive. He is contracted to the Swiss side for another year.

Rumours suggest that a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia will soon be sent to the Italian striker, but for now Sion have heard nothing. Last season, Balotelli scored nine goals in 19 appearances for the Swiss club.
