Bayern Munich President Karl Heinz Rummenigge confirms a deal has been struck with Juventus for Arturo Vidal and urges Mario Gotze to stay.
Speaking at a Press conference in China, Rummenigge said the Chilean only needs to undergo a medical and sign his contract before officially becoming a Bayern player.
He also urged Mario Gotze not to leave the club after the Old Lady expressed an interest, and said that no official approach has been made.
“We’ve reached an agreement both with Juventus and with [Vidal],” he said.
“Only the medical and the signing of the contract are left to complete, then next week he can begin to train with us.”
Juventus will reportedly receive €40m for the midfielder, who will sign a five-year deal worth €6.5m per season in Bavaria.
“Stay in Munich and fight for a place!” said Rummenigge regarding Germany international Gotze.
“I think that he wants to stay at Bayern. No official offer has been received and Mario still has two years left on his contract with us.
“Next season he will be fundamental for our team.”
