Atalanta starlet Matteo Ruggeri made his Serie A debut against Inter today: ‘It’s a dream come true.’
The 18-year-old had made his Champions League debut in Champions League earlier this week and today he played the first game in Serie A in his career.
“I am happy to be here for my Serie A debut, today’s emotion was incredible, everyone is dreaming of playing these games. I played in the youth sector and this is a dream come true," he told Sky Sport.

“I played two pre-season friendlies and I want to thank the coach for trusting me. I think Atalanta is the team where everyone dreams of playing. They teach so much on a personal and professional level.
“This club believe in young players, they teach you everything. They used to check my grades at school as well. Now it’s more difficult to go to school with trainings but my mum really cares about school.
“I was lucky because I worked with great coaches who taught me what being a man means.”
