Juventus defender Daniele Rugani suffered an injury while warming up before the derby della Mole, causing concern for tonight’s clash with Torino and next week’s meeting with Villareal in the Champions League.

Rugani and Matthijs de Ligt were the only centre-backs available for the Old Lady for tonight’s meeting with Torino at the Allianz Stadium. However, the Italy defender has been forced to the sidelines because of an injury suffered during the warm-up. Luca Pellegrini has replaced his compatriot and Alex Sandro has been adapted to a centre-back role.

Rugani’s injury adds to those of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, who are recovering from calf issues. If none of them recovers in the next few days, De Ligt will be the only central defender available for the Serie A giants in their Champions League clash against Villareal on Tuesday.
