Daniele Rugani’s move to Chelsea for €50m is imminent, but Juventus teammate Gonzalo Higuain is keeping his options open for Milan.

It is a separate situation from Higuain, because the striker has a much more complex transfer status and two offers on the table.

It is a separate situation from Higuain, because the striker has a much more complex transfer status and two offers on the table.

Tuttomercatoweb and JuveNews24 claim Higuain is more than open to a potential Milan move, even if they are excluded from Europe due to Financial Fair Play violations.

With Elliott Management taking over from Yonghong Li, they should relatively soon have fresh funds for the transfer market.

They could also pay for Higuain – who costs €60m – by selling Portugal international Andre Silva to Wolverhampton Wanderers for €45m.

It’s true that Higuain would like to work with Sarri again, but at the age of 30 he is also concerned at adapting to the Premier League in a team that is in a state of flux.
