Daniele Rugani says he's 'trying to learn' from Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli at Juventus.

The Old Lady's new signing joins three of the most consistent starters in Antonio Conte's Azzurri team.

“They're helping me getting integrated into the group and I routinely try to learn from them,” he told VivoAzzurro.it.

“From Bonucci I'd steal his character and his ability in directing play, from Chiellini his aggressiveness and his skill in marking, and from Barzagli the sense of positioning, the concentration and the continuity.

Rugani is a staple of the Azzurrini side, and he played an important role with them in the U21 Euro 2015, even though Italy crashed out at the group stage.

“Our last U21 Euro was a nice personal experience in an important tournament.

“We were a strong team and we showed that in our three games, even though things didn't work out well. The tournament was useful for our development.

“Italy was absolutely strong enough to win the Euros. Our adventure started out with difficulty, as early as the qualifiers.

“But having played several games under such pressure turned us into a different team.

“We're stronger from a technical-tactical point of view, and we're aware of our potential.

“Against Germany, the tournament favourites, we showed in a friendly that we could hold our own. Likewise against Serbia.

“In the group stages too, we took down big teams like England and Portugal.”
