Daniele Rugani has returned to Serie A with Cagliari, but the Juventus loanee said he ‘feels bad for the way things turned out’ with Stade Rennais.
The 26-year-old moved on a paid loan to Rennes last summer and played only once in Ligue 1, missing 16 games because of a thigh injury.
The former Italy international has returned to Italy this month and signed a similar deal with the Rossoblu in Sardinia.

“I really feel bad for the way things turned out,” Rugani said on Instagram. “An injury knocked me out from the start, but I want to thank the club and my teammates.
“They never made me miss their support. The past four months in a city that made me feel comfortable has been an experience that I will always keep in my heart.”
