If Kostas Manolas returns to Greece for Olympiacos, then Napoli will look to Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, claim reports.

La Repubblica suggested that Olympiacos had made an offer for the Greek international centre-back, who at 30 is considering a move back home.

The asking price is circa €18m and a transfer remains entirely possible to his former club.

A replacement would be needed, especially as Kalidou Koulibaly remains potentially on the market for the right price.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the first choice for Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti would be Rugani.

However, he too has a high salary, so if he were to arrive on loan, Juventus might have to shoulder some of the wage bill.

His contract with the Bianconeri only runs to June 2023 and he had two disappointing loan spells at Stade Rennais and Cagliari last season.

Another candidate for Napoli would be Marcos Senesi, but Feyenoord are asking for €20m.
