Daniele Rugani insists the Italy Under-21 side is going to the Czech Republic to win the European Championships.
Luigi Di Biagio’s Azzurrini have been drawn with England, Portugal and Sweden, but despite a tough group, the centre-back is confident.
“We’re ready to build something important,” Rugani told reporters at a Press conference.
“In the last two years we’ve grown so much, despite facing an uphill struggle.

“I’m sure we’ll have our say. We’re in a group of death, and we don’t start as favourites, but you’ll see that we’ll compete with everyone.
“The European Championships will be a great experience, I’m delighted to be here and I’ll play with my focus on the goal of winning it [the tournament].”
