Juventus are finalising the details of a new contract for Daniele Rugani following a meeting between the club and his agent Davide Torchia this week.

The 29-year-old Italian centre back, who has been with the Bianconeri since 2015, has featured semi-regularly under Massimiliano Allegri this season, proving himself a useful back-up option on the bench. He’s been handed 10 starts this term, doing a satisfactory job when called upon.

Rugani has just over three months left on his current contract with Juventus, and he’s consistently expressed his desire to pen a new deal, happy to continue his adventure with the Old Lady. He’s made 145 appearances across all competitions since his arrival nine years ago.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, agent Torchia met with Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli on Friday to discuss a new contract for Rugani. The meeting went well and an agreement was reached, pushing the club to start finalising the details of the deal.

The 29-year-old will sign a new two-year contract with an option for a further year, tying him to the club to June 2026.
