Rueda apologizes with Inter

Chile boss Reinaldo Rueda has apologized with Inter after a row erupted over Alexis Sanchez’s fitness last week.

“With all due respect for my European colleagues, I would like them to respect us the same way we do with them. I would’ve appreciated more respect before they decided to play Alexis for 45 minutes and then for another 90,” Rueda said after Sanchez picked up an injury while on international duty.

“We’re not in the era of the colonies, let’s make that clear,” he said.

Today he apologized for his statements.

"I have great respect and admiration for Inter. This is a matter that I may have been wrong to treat, because it should have been treated by the medical staffs,” he said at a press conference according to Calciomercato.com.

Inter had reacted to Rueda’s words last week saying that his words were “unacceptable, offensive, and inaccurate.”
