Amir Rrahmani admitted his situation at Napoli has changed under Luciano Spalletti and stressed the players ‘feel the responsibility’ ahead of the decisive game against Leicester City in Europe.

The Kosovo international spoke ahead of the sixth and final round of the Europa League tomorrow, when Napoli need a win to be sure of qualifying for the next phase.

“They are always special games, these 90 minutes can decide the fate of two teams. It’s a special match, we must enter the pitch to give our all,” Rrahmani said at a press conference.

Spalletti: ‘We’ll do everything to shorten Osimhen’s recovery times’

The centre-back admitted his personal situation at Napoli has changed since Luciano Spalletti arrived over the summer.

“Now, I’m playing more. This has changed,” he said and laughed. “In a team like Napoli, there must be two players in every position.

“In the centre, we have four strong players. The coach always asks different things from us, it depends on the opponents.

“We must be focused on what he asks of us, given that it changes, so we must always be ready. It’s a special match, everyone dreams of playing these games and you find real players here, with character and who know what they want.”

Aurelio De Laurentiis’ Napoli have a habit of qualifying for the knockout stages and Rrahmani said the players can ‘feel the responsibility’ ahead of the clash with the Foxes.

“We always feel the responsibility, not only in the Europa League, but also in the league,” Rrahmani added. “We always play to win, even if sometimes we don’t manage.

“There’s always a way to improve. There are moments in a match when you have to wait, there are also other moments when you can’t do anything.

“There’s always room to improve.”
