Genoa's Nicolò Rovella is reportedly close to joining Juventus in a swap deal with Manolo Portanova.

According to Sky Sport, Juventus and Genoa are close to reaching an agreement over the transfer of the two midfielders.

Rovella is set to sign with the Serie A giants, but he will remain on loan at Genoa at least until the end of the season.

The two clubs, in fact, could decide to extend the player’s loan until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

The deal will be completed by Manolo Portanova’s move to Genoa.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus will pay €10m to sign Rovella, while the fee for Portanova’s transfer is in the region of €7m.

Elia Petrelli, a striker of Juventus Under 23 team, is also being considered by the Rossoblu, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Rovella will extend his expiring Genoa contract before signing with the Old Lady.

The 19-year-old 10 Serie A appearances. Portanova, 20, made his Serie A debut in 2019 under Massimiliano Allegri and has three appearances in Italy's top flight.
