Watch one of Paolo Rossi’s most famous goals at Juventus, also because the forward had scored during a commercial break.
Former Bianconero Rossi, who helped Italy win the 1982 World Cup in Spain, died at 64 last night and one of his most famous goals came against Aston Villa in the European Cup.
He scored the opener at Villa Park in the first leg of the quarter-finals in 1982-83, but Telemontecarlo didn’t go live until the third minute, meaning no one in Italy saw the goal live on TV.
