Genoa striker Giuseppe Rossi was unimpressed with the use of VAR in the win over Lazio, asking “are we kidding?”
The Italian international was injured and forced to watch the game from home, with his teammates grabbing a late win at the Stadio Olimpico.
There was a controversial moment just before that though, as Diego Laxalt thought he had scored the winner, only to see his goal overturned by the Video Assistant Referee.
While the ball did strike his hand, it had been played off him at close range by Martin Caceres.

His teammate Rossi certainly didn’t think it was deliberate, having initially tweeted “come on!!”.
When it was clear that the action would be reviewed, the striker wrote “seriously?” before commenting “are we kidding?” when the goal was ruled out.
Fortunately from a Grifone point of view though, Laxalt scored in stoppage time to win the game.
Ma stiamo scherzando????
